What is Yoga Therapy and how can it help?

“Yoga therapy is the process of empowering individuals to progress toward improved health and well-being through the application of the teachings and practices of Yoga.” The International Association of Yoga Therapists
Some of you may know that I'm currently studying Yoga Therapy with Devon School of Yoga. It's been the most marvellous immersion into the philosophical, physical, and phycological benefits of yoga as an ancient Indian discipline and a holistic approach to wellbeing backed by astounding scientific findings.
Yoga Therapy can help with every mental and physical condition under the sun - from anxiety and depression, pre and post natal changes, back pain, IBS, cancer, hormonal issues, and beyond. Even if you don't have something specific you'd like to address, Yoga Therapy can help you build and maintain a healthier and happier life.
Yoga Therapy listens wholeheartedly and responds in a compassionate, integrated, and proactive way. Offering tailored advice and practices to clients to help them become more autonomous and empowering them to cultivate a lifestyle that benefits them and the wider world around them.
One to one sessions can involve various elements depending on your needs. Typically these would include breathing techniques, embodied movement and asana (yoga postures), guided meditation, and bodywork. (Obviously I can only offer body work to people in the same room as me. Sorry zoomers!)
I'm looking for two clients who are happy to be my final case studies as part of my course. I can see you both in person and/or online. As I am currently completing my training, I'm offering £100 off for a block of 5 x 60minute sessions at £200 rather than £300.
Here are some kind words from a recent client -
"I wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend Harry for Yoga Therapy. A powerful combination of her warm, open-hearted presence, compassionate listening and ability to find a yoga flow that just perfectly met my body's needs provided the perfect setting to release, relax and restore. Each session felt like the most enormous treat, with her adjustments and hands-on support gently stretching out tension better than a massage! Her sessions were a wonderful highlight of my week, and kept me buoyed up through the busyness and chaos of juggling new motherhood with a new business. I couldn't be more grateful for her kindness and expertise. Thank you Harry!"
